Overview

Moo.wp is an mootoolkit manager plug-in for WordPress. Created for WordPress users, plug-in developers, and theme designers, moo.wp creates an easy way to reduce clutter and unify javascript libraries. Moo.wp is easy to deploy, easy to develop for, and easy to keep up-to-date. Just visit this page and grab the latest revision to receive the newest mootoolkit and prototype libraries.

NOTICE: This plug-in is out-of-date. Fear not, however, a new version is on its way. Check back later for a new release and an update to this page to match the rest of the new code pages. These changes should take place before the end of July, 2007.

Requirements

  • WordPress:

    Moo.wp was designed for WordPress 2.0, compatibility with older versions is not guaranteed.

Installation

  1. Download the zip archive
  2. Extract the contents to wp-content/plugins/
  3. Activate moo.wp in WP Admin > Plugins section
  4. Navigate through the WP Admin panel to Options > Moo.wp, this is where the moo.wp admin panel is located.
  5. Activate desired mootoolkit components, and select desired prototype library.

Usage

Moo.wp is a required plug-in for Testimonials and RPC Heir. Please refer to the documentation of the respective plug-in for which libraries are needed. For plug-in developers, checking for the moowp_display() function is an efficient way to see if moo.wp is running.

Problems

If a bug is encountered with this software, please let the author know by e-mailing him directly. Please include the phrase “[Bug report] moo.wp” in the title and outline the observed bug in the body of the e-mail. The author should get back to you within a day or so.

License

Moo.wp is GPL 2.0 software, as such it is fully open-source software and code modifications are welcomed. The libraries that moo.wp links, the mootoolkit and prototype libraries are licensed under a MIT software license.
