DMCA Withdrawn

Michael Crook as of 6:16PM CST, withdrew his DMCA complaint that was sent to take down a screen capture of a Fox News Channel appearance that he made back in 2005. So the whole ordeal is over, unless if one wants to get the article one removed and the image back up, which requires some database work.

Michael Crook’s Empire Vanishes

Approximately two months ago, Michael Crook deemed it appropriate to harass one over a legitimately posted visual representation of him. After the FUD settled, and the DMCA notices were gone, one didn’t have to do a thing for him. Knowing one’s enemy is important, hence periodic visits to Crook’s websites took place over the last few months. Recently, his sites have all disappeared. No more MCIPDNS, no more michaelcrook.com, and no more Craigslist perverts and fewer poorly written and designed websites. Finally, I found some information on this discovery. From PlagiarismToday:

Update 1/20: Michael Crook announced via email today that his is shutting down his Internet sites, including his personal blog, effective immediately…

That answers the question why he all-of-a-suddenly ceases to represent himself via his sites on the Internet. Seems strange that suddenly Crook wants to disappear.
