Swiss Cheese?

Holes drilled and counter sunk. There are eight in total, had I used the drill press I would not have royally messed up on this (I Could have corrected a few holes better when counter sinking, instead I had to make the holes much bigger than necessary). The aluminum was also brushed, using 150 grit 3M sandpaper. Then to protect the brushed look, a layer of clear coat was applied. It took three times to get it to an acceptable form, the first can I tried was old and the clear coat went on way too thick. So I had to get out some 99% isopropyl alcohol to strip it before it fully dried, then wash and reapply the brushing. It sill is not perfect, the air was too dusty when I applied the clear coat so it has imperfections related to that, this is sitting on the bottom anyways so it won’t matter that much.
